Google Ads
Industry-Leading Paid Advertising Platform
Overview
Honestly, I don’t think Google Ads needs any introduction. It’s an industry-leading paid advertising platform with many interesting features and opportunities. The most important question is: do I know how to use it? Yes, I do. In my life experience, I’ve had plenty of hands-on work with this platform. I’ve run several affiliate marketing projects, unfortunately none of them were successful. However, that wasn’t due to a lack of proficiency with Google Ads, but rather poor product choices.
I’ve explored not all, but almost every aspect of Google Ads, from simple campaign creation to integrating Google Tag Manager and GA4 in Google Ads for more comprehensive statistics. Many times, I’ve encountered a major obstacle: Google Ads' strict advertising policies. But through all this experience, I’ve gained confidence and proficiency.
Why do I absolutely love Google Ads? Mainly because of the wide range of tools it offers to marketers. Not to mention, the platform can drive a lot of traffic. It may be more expensive than Bing Ads, but you get significantly more traffic - so it’s a fair deal. And as for some of those tools I mentioned…
Keyword Planner
Google’s built-in research tool for finding keywords, estimating search volume, understanding competition, and forecasting ad spend. Personally, I use it every time I perform keyword research - it's incredibly useful. Just choose 10 root keywords, and you'll get hundreds, maybe thousands, of relevant keywords that you can export as a table for future analysis.
Performance Planner
Google’s simulation tool for forecasting campaign performance based on budget and bid adjustments. I have uses it with all my campaigns because it lets you experiment safely. You can choose your monthly goals, and it will show how changes might affect conversions, CPA, or ROAS. It’s like having a predictive magic spell for your ad strategy.
Ads Transparency Center
This tool is like a public library of all ads currently running on Google. Need to find out what your competitors are advertising? You can search any advertiser you want and see their live and past ads across YouTube, Search, and Display. I use every time I need to spy on someone. This is a great way to find some additional Landing Pages of the competitor you are spying on. (Sometimes there are)
Conversion Tracking Tools
From Google Tag Manager to offline tracking - this is the foundation of any campaign optimization. Without it, you're as much as walking blind. I always prefer to have these set up before running ads, or at the very least, immediately after launching a campaign, because only accurate conversion data shows you what's working and what not.
